cdltpx – great idea – maybe we can come up with the technology – at this point it would be a bit cumbersome but i’ll bet between the thousands of us who put our mind to it, we can develop a prototype.

I wonder why they haven’t made a solar powered metal detector for the person that detects only in the daylight. That is the time most people go. I could use rechargeable with solar recharger for my device I have a hand full of rechargers that could do the job but my detector recommends that I use alkaline batts I don’t know why? If it is because rechbles have a lower voltage why nor add another batt for rechargeables the weight would not be so great for this capability.
